Q3 News from aaaForay, Inc., Graphic Communications
Dear Friends/Colleagues,
In these daunting times we forge ahead, nonetheless. Markets may be down, but aaaForay is up. Thank you to those who have responded to our late-summer email update. Most especially at Thanksgiving are we grateful to find our workload expanding in exciting ways even in this unnerving, “transitional,” economy.
As some of you know, aaaForay has narrowed the sectors of our primary focus to which we provide high-value, design communications expertise. These include:
- Technology
- Finance/banking
- Media/web
- Healthcare
- Law
- Education/art/culture
- Small Business (1-50 employees)
aaaForay is not limited to these sectors. We have developed expertise at creating compelling marketing strategies and creative communications tools to support each one. Our objective is to help expand your brand, business and revenues. Equally as important, we believe the ability to imagine, to develop new vision and to execute a strategy that fulfills on the vision is (in this halting climate) more important than ever. Upon request, aaaForay will be pleased to bring our expertise to you.
During the third quarter, 2008:
Education/art/culture
- aaaForay, Inc., continues to provide design services for the Silk Road Ensemble, Family Service of Rhode Island, Architects of Achievement and Next Generation Press. To our clients, thank you for the confidence you place in aaaForay, most especially at this challenging time of historic, national importance.
Technology/media/web
- Newport Collaborative Architects: aaaForay has worked with Genuine Interactive to complete a new comprehensive website reflecting the capabilities of the architectural firm that is among the very finest in the State of Rhode Island. See http://www.ncarchitects.com/
- Fall River Development Plan: With the same firm, aaaForay has undertaken a combined look at a visioning project aimed at comprehensively revitalizing the City of Fall River. We expect to have a plan for long term development of the City in place for presentation during this last quarter of 2008. The original public relations notice can be seen here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/03/prweb764074.htm. The thrust of this prototype is seen on this crudely produced YouTube video (my apologies for both the acting and technical qualities): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJlSuZ0QHpM
- The Advent of Internet TV, StandWeUnited® style: Very importantly, during this past quarter, we began the prototype of a dedicated iTV (Internet TV channel). This channel will highlight innovation, inspired activities across a range of critical subjects— many of national interest, occurring around the country in this challenging time. See http://wwwmogulus.com/standweunited. A very exciting undertaking, aaaForay believes this exercise manifests important implications for the future of design, marketing and media communications. We will be increasing our commitment to this undertaking in the New Year. Should your company be interested in exploring market possibilities inherent in the nascent iTV industry, please contact aaaForay at your earliest convenience.
New Ventures
- Education: Dr. John Watt, esteemed international thinker and global advocate, has asked aaaForay to undertake what we anticipate will be a dramatic expansion of the ABMAC Foundation ( http://www.abmac.org/) on the occasion of the publishing of Dr. Watt’s new book, “Health Care and National Development in Taiwan, 1950-2000.” Dr. Watt’s conviction is that as societies develop successful health care delivery systems, they, themselves, prosper. aaaForay is honored to be included in the development of two new websites, one for Dr. Watt, and a second for the Foundation.
- Law, Brand Identity: For leading practitioners in the Rhode Island legal community, we are honored to provide original brand identity development services for what is now a new firm, FoleyCerilli PC. Located in Providence, the founders are both members of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and named to Best Lawyers in America. Areas of special expertise include vehicular accidents, medical malpractice, product injuries, wrongful death and admiralty/maritime claims.
- Finance: aaaForay, Inc. is helping Advanced Financial Services develop new market positioning by exploring changes in its direct marketing program, and designing new graphic communications vehicles to support these changes. This marketing program is to be expanded and enhanced by an electronic document development program, both of which are designed to provide assistance to credit-worthy customers challenged by circumstance.
- 21st Century Urban Planning, Fall River on Rise: Related to activities around the development of the Fall River waterfront, aaaForay has been asked to assist in the design development of a new website, http://www.fallrivernow.com, one that will reflect on the variety of strengths the City offers to business, arts, culture and citizens groups. Look for this site early in 2009. aaaForay is also piloting the development of a printed marketing piece to be created in tandem with the website, calling attention to the features, benefits and value to be found in the rising city of Fall River.
- Technology, New Tech Lighting Product: Perhaps the most significant news of the last quarter, we have found two companies who have expressed an interest in our new LED products. We want the product on the market in 12-18 months, and are therefore compiling an aggressive schedule. Despite the challenging state of the banking and finance communities, we continue to seek funding that may help us go to market, next year. For any company or individual interested in considering what will certainly be an exciting, timely line of such “green” products to market in a new and perhaps less friendly economy, please feel free to contact aaaForay, directly.
Art & Commerce
- Evolving New Brand: In support of our original, new brand, StandWeUnited®, http://www.standweunited.com/index.asp aaaForay continues to design and prototype products to support the brand; most recently, a new line of overnight, tote, computer and all-purpose bags that utilize a 21st century textile finish developed right here in America. More in spring, 2009.
- StandWeUnited Posters selling via Google: In addition, recent poster orders have arrived in response to being found on Google, a decided improvement, one that bodes well for the new year, 2009. For those who may wish to add our powerful posters to their corporate gift-giving, this year, it is not too late. The Star-Spangled Banner poster is nearly exhausted. - Hornbine School Fundraiser: Yours-truly has completed two watercolor paintings, one of the local Hornbine School, and also the Hornbine Church. A digital reproduction has been used on postcards, prints, and is being made available to the Town of Rehoboth, as well as to two committees, each charged with sustaining the two structures. At $50.00 per print, funds will be donated to support this work in the town of Rehoboth, MA. See http://fineartamerica.com/featured/hornbine-school-george-delany.html
